30,000 bpd Crude Oil will Be Extracted from North Yaran Field By September

The official in charge of the project for development of North Yaran field, Arash Baqerzadeh told Petro Energy Information Network (Shana) that all activities for tentative operation of North Yaran field are underway and By September 2015, 30,000 bpd crude will be extracted from North Yaran common field.
Baqerzadeh said that in August, activities will start for tentative operation of the common field and based on the schedule, 30,000 bpd oil will be extracted from the common field.
He added: long lead items including valves are being delivered to the site, furthermore the compressors for the gas section of the processing unit will arrive by late August.
In order to meet one of the main priorities of the Ministry of Oil, which is to increase the withdrawal from joint oil fields, some serious policies and actions had been adopted which lead to increase of production capacity of West Karoon oil fields.
It is worth mentioning that Oil and energy industries development (OEID) is performing the consultation and supervision of the drilling activities of the North Yaran Field.
North Yaran oil field is located in Khuzestan Province, approximately 130 kilometers west of the provincial capital city of Ahvaz and close to Iran-Iraq border. It is situated in the west of North Azadegan and the north of South Yaran oil field and it is expected to produce oil with API gravity between 16 and 18.
